Welcome from the Kerry Association

Welcome to the Kerry Association in Dublin’s website. We hope you will find its content informative and we very much look forward to welcoming new members who would like to join us. The success of the Association is due to the vast number of dedicated members and the involvement of many of Kerry’s most eminent and respected men and women over the years. We are all well aware of the depth of talent that has emerged from our county. Perhaps it’s something in the water or maybe it’s the rare air, but growing up in Kerry makes for a special kind of person. Whether in politics, music, sport, literature or the arts, Kerry has produced a wealth of exceptionally talented sons and daughters, many of whom have had their achievements recognised not just nationally, but internationally. Ceád Mile Fáilte.

Written by Killarney actor Ray O’Sullivan, this sell-out stage comedy that tells the story of the Healy-Rae political machine and how it brought the Kilgarvan family to political fame is back for its second tour this year. The play sold out its eight performances all over Kerry earlier this year and is now returning with five more performances including one in Dublin. We’re happy to arrange a group booking so just email us if you would like to be included for what promises to be a great Kerry night.
30th November – Nominations for Kerry Person of the Year 2018 / Laochra Chiarraí 2018
The search for Kerry Person of the Year 2018 and Laochra Chiarraí 2018 has begun and nominations are now being accepted. Please email your nominations to info@kerryassociation.ie noting why the person or group are deserving of the awards. The individual and group selected must have shown leadership, brought honour to and performed community, charitable or other services to such an extent that could be described as being beyond the norm of everyday life. The roll of honour of past participants is most impressive. We look forward to hearing from you!
